Working with our local English Hub
We feel very lucky to work closely with our local English Hub based at St John Vianney Catholic Primary School. They deliver a number of sessions for us over the course of the year on English, Reading and Phonics. Their passion and expertise is inspirational.
Team building day 2022
We had so much fun completing beach school/ team building activities on Cleveleys beach this morning while bonding as a team. This was followed by a game of bowling, a great start to our first week.

Last day of final placement!
Congratulations to all our 2021-22 trainees who have completed their PGCE with QTS! Today is their final day of placement but next week we get to celebrate woohoo!
Graduation!
Congratulations to our 2019/20 and 2020/21 cohorts who finally got to graduate today! A wonderful day had by everyone celebrating all their successes.
World book day 2022
Our trainees love getting involved in all aspects of school life including dressing up for world book day. Miss Pumphrey is the Umpa Lumpa on the left with the rest of her Key Stage 1 team at Boundary Primary School.

Reading and Phonics SJV English Hub
Our work with the St John Vianney English Hub continues, our trainees have regular session learning the key principles of good phonics teaching and how to develop reading including a love for reading in our pupils.
Applying for teaching jobs!
We can't believe its that time already! Our trainees had one of two sessions delivered by a local headteacher on securing their first teaching post. Today they looked at selecting a school and writing an application with a supporting letter.
Our visit to Boundary Primary School
Today we had an inspiring visit to Boundary Primary School to learn about their SMSC culture, their PSHE curriculum, how they increase cultural capital in their pupils and to share the work they have done around ensuring children and families from the LGBTQ+ community are welcomed, feel included and are supported.
Teaching Primary Science
Today our trainees have enjoyed getting practical in Science by conducting lots of different experiments from all areas of the Science curriculum. We hope today has given them the confidence to deliver practical Science lessons within their teaching.
Christmas fund raiser
Well done to our trainees who raised £160 for a local charity Brian House Children's Hospice by having a Christmas jumper/ PJ day.
